~Magic Kingdom~

Park Planning Tips & Strategy For Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom is the largest park and ideally we recommend that you break it up into two park days. Follow these 2 Dis Chicks tips based on the number of Magic Kingdom park days you have.
FastPass+ Tip for One Magic Kingdom Day: Select your top three FastPass+ choices. Make a list of the other must-see attractions and work your way around the park, starting in Fantasyland. Arriving at park opening will allow you to maximize your time.
FastPass+ Tip for Two or More Magic Kingdom Park Days:  Magic Kingdom is broken into six sections, or lands: Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square and  Main Street, USA. If you plan to go to Magic Kingdom two days, try to maximize your time by going to three lands on the first day and the other three lands on the second Magic Kingdom day. Because Fantasyland has the most popular attractions for young children, this area  becomes busy shortly after park opening. We suggest starting here first while lines are shortest.

Attractions We Recommend That You Preselect

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: (40” height requirement) A runaway train coaster ride through a mining town. Frontierland
Enchanted Tales with Belle: An interactive meet and greet where children reinact the story of Beauty and the Beast with Belle herself. Fantasyland

Meet Rapunzel & Tiana at Princess Fairytale Hall:  Meet Rapunzel and Tiana in this special location. Fantasyland
Peter Pan’s Flight: Ride on a flying pirate ship over London to Never-Never Land in this very popular ride. Fantasyland

Space Mountain:  (44” height requirement) An indoor, dark, outer-space roller coaster ride. Tomorrowland
Splash Mountain:  (40” height requirement) A classic water flume ride.  Since you can get wet, we suggest selecting a FastPass+ for early afternoon, not the morning. Frontierland

Attractions to Preselect Only if they Interest You

The Barnstormer: (35” height requirement) A small coaster ride for brave little ones. Fantasyland
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin:  Board a star cruiser and shoot at moving targets. Not comparable to Toy Story Mania in Hollywood Studios, but still a favorite of Buzz fans. Tomorrowland
Jungle Cruise: A classic riverboat cruise with a humorous skipper.  Adventureland
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin: This enjoyable ride, similar to Dumbo, seats 4 on one carpet. Adventureland
The Many Adventures Of Winnie the Pooh:  Ride a Hunny Pot into Hundred Acre Wood. Fantasyland
Meet Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater: Meet Mickey Mouse. If this is a must, we recommend FastPassing this immediately before or after the Festival of Fantasy Parade.  Main Street, USA
Pirates of the Caribbean: A voyage about a pirate's life. Portions of this attraction are dark and may be frightening to small children. Adventureland
Tomorrowland Speedway: (32” height requirement to ride & 54” height requirement to drive alone.) Race a gas-powered car around a miniature track. Tomorrowland

Attractions That You Do Not Need To Preselect

Dumbo the Flying Elephant:  Soar on a flying elephant at one of the two carousel-style rides. Fantasyland
